Natural Capital Payments
Work with us to receive cash flows from stewardship across a range of management goals.
How it works
We take care of the paperwork to certify your natural capital outcomes starting with soil carbon.
Adaptive Grazing
Grasslands play a vital role in carbon sequestration, acting as significant carbon sinks in the Earth's carbon cycle. These ecosystems, characterized by extensive fields of grasses and herbaceous plants, have the capacity to capture and store atmospheric carbon dioxide in their plant biomass and soil. Proper management practices under our managed grazing crediting opportunity enhance their carbon sequestration potential. By protecting and restoring grasslands, we work with producers to increase symbiotic upsides to grazing operations.
With our Managed Grazing program Carbon Credits count where:
Carbon credits = (Practice Change Sequestration – Normal Sequestration) + (Baseline Emissions – Practice Change Emissions)
Avoided Conversion of Grasslands
The avoidance of grassland conversion holds numerous benefits for ecology and the environment. Grasslands are incredibly biodiverse ecosystems that support a wide array of plant and animal species, many of which are adapted to these unique habitats. When grasslands are left undisturbed, their rich diversity can thrive, providing essential habitat and food sources for countless wildlife species, including birds, insects, and mammals. We work with producers to designate working lands under easement to receive payments from avoided conversion.
With our Avoided Conversion program Carbon Credits count where:
Carbon Credits = Baseline Row Crop Emissions – Grazing Project Emissions
