Texan's Get Climate Smart with New Paid Initiative

Kateri continues to support numerous initiatives that help regenerative producers’ thrive.

As a trusted partner for measuring, marketing, and helping producers achieve carbon stocking yields, we often engage with academic initiatives that are raising the bar on grazing methods for grasslands rejuvenation.

This year, our friends at Texas A&M have new funding available for producers adopting climate smart practices.

Programs are designed specifically for Texas farmers, ranchers and small forest owners. Texas Climate-Smart Initiative individuals will work with participants through the whole process helping them understand and implement climate-smart practices. An incentive structure has been created, considering the cost of operations.

Selections Occur Bimonthly and you must have an FSA number to apply.

  • Applications Sorted by Commodity Type and Reviewed for Location, Commodity and Practice:

    • Forestry

    • Orchards and Other Perennial Shrubs and Trees

    • Perennial Forage, Pastures and Rangeland

    • Annual Crops

    • Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations

  • Develop Contract and Complete Implementation Plan
