Kateri Working with Shell’s U.S. Nature-Based Solutions Arm

Kateri Environmental Corp. (“Kateri”) announced on September 27th  that it signed a definitive agreement with the nature-based solutions arm of Shell New Energies US LLC (“Shell”) for the financing, development, and purchase of carbon credits generated from improved management of agricultural lands in North America.

Kateri, a privately held company, is a carbon project developer focused on improving landscapes through improved livestock management and other soil and biodiversity enhancement.  Kateri provides end-to-end services for landowners to generate and sell carbon credits from their land through improved grazing techniques and other practices.

The company utilizes virtual fencing, livestock GPS tracking, in-field advisory, remote sensing, soil sampling, and biogeochemical modeling to facilitate soil carbon sequestration. You can learn more about each of these aspects of Kateri’s work on their services page.
